Gang of Ten Spotlight: Meet Visiting Designer Andy McMillan!

There’s a new kid in town in our Gang of Ten co-working office. Andy McMillan is visiting Portland from Belfast, Northern Ireland — and we’re lucky to have him working from our space for the month of June!

A self-professed “creator of things,” he’s in town on holiday to explore our fair city. At home in Belfast, Andy is proprietor and Mr. Manager at Fiction, which essentially (and somewhat ironically) doesn’t really exist yet. While Fiction gets off the ground, he’s busy organizing Build, a five-day design event made up of three days of conference, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, meetups, and parties and bookended by a day of film and another of music. The conference will take place on November 7-11, 2011 in Belfast (vacation, anyone?).

Andy’s also in the throes of publishing a new, beautifully crafted journal that takes a fresh look, in print, at design on the web called The Manual, which was recently successfully funded through Kickstarter.
