Behind the Scenes with Hand Eye Supply’s Starlight Parade Float
June 9, 2011
We’ve certainly been buzzing about our friends and merchandise partners Hand Eye Supply– for good reason! They recently constructed an award-winning float (THE sweepstakes award winner, mind you!) for the Starlight Parade in one of ADX’s Factory Floor project spaces.
As they bask in the glory of their big win, they put together a step-by-step recap of their design and fabrication process on the Core77 blog, including an amazing time-lapse photo that shows just how many hands were on deck. More information about the lighting and programming process is available in an excellent blog post from contributor Paul on the DorkbotPDX website.
Our town is filled with eager creatives, and this project succeeded in bringing together an incredible group of makers of all types to create an unforgettable finished product. We couldn’t be more proud of their team, volunteers, and supporters, and feel so honored to have been selected as the “Creative Spark” construction site!
Take a peek at some images from their process below and read more on Core77.com about this incredible project!
