ADX Grand Opening Party on June 3!

We couldn’t be more excited to unveil ADX to Portland on Friday, June 3. Join us to celebrate our local community of makers. Our free, open to the public, all-ages grand opening party takes place from 6-11pm at our new facility, located at 417 SE 11th Avenue (between Oak and Stark streets) in Portland. Guests will have the opportunity to celebrate, network, celebrate, and explore our new dynamic workspace.

It’s clear that akin to the whole “everyone-in-Portland-does-three-things” concept, that making and collaborating often goes hand in hand with our local music scene. That said, we’re thrilled to announce that Old Light will be performing at event! This is especially exciting because they are all creative makers and fabricators in their own right (for example, check out Garth Klippert’s awesome custom fabrication work).

DJ 31Avas will be spinning throughout the night, and attendees will get to savor Northwest flair in our “Makers Marketplace,” where we’ll be serving up complimentary Ninkasi, along with samples of treats from Brew Dr. Kombucha, Sizzle Pie and new locally-sourced food company 100 Miles.

On display will be Process + Prototype, a special design exhibit featuring the work of over 25 makers, creatives, and artists. The show focuses not on finished product, but instead the successes, failures, and lightbulb moments that inform the creative process.
